Base Salary
$150k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize software solutions for engineering and research applications.
- Develop simulation capabilities using finite element, level-set, or related numerical methods.
- Develop modeling-based methodologies for device, interconnect, process, module, and reliability problems.
- Establish criteria and methods for selecting inputs and validating results.
- Collaborate with software engineers, researchers, and domain experts on scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Document technical solutions and present findings to project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must be a full-time student pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a semiconductor-related field.
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in college courses to date.
- Must have at least one year of programming experience in C, C++, Python, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and software development skills are required.
- Preferred: experience with TCAD or atomistic simulation tools for thermo-mechanical interactions, thermal transport, thin-film processes, patterning, material interactions, or circuit performance.
- Preferred: hands-on experience developing or using finite element or equivalent physical-system solvers.
- Preferred: experience with physics-based modeling and AI or machine learning methods for solid mechanics, thermal management, reliability, and microprocessor manufacturing processes.
