Base Salary
$190k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Advance learning-based 3D reconstruction methods such as 3D Gaussian Splatting and NeRFs and bring research into production.
- Develop reconstruction capabilities for dynamic actors, scene editing, novel-view synthesis, and camera/LiDAR rendering.
- Scale reconstruction quality and throughput across large volumes of fleet data.
- Productionize feed-forward reconstruction approaches that reduce per-scene optimization costs.
- Define evaluation metrics, benchmarks, and validation workflows for reconstruction fidelity and sim-to-real performance.
- Work with customers to understand pain points and implement technical solutions in the Neural Simulation product.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Autonomy, Research, and product teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Own critical technical components and influence architecture and product decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and shipping machine-learning or computer-vision systems.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, robotics, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong hands-on experience with learning-based 3D reconstruction techniques, including 3D Gaussian Splatting and NeRFs.
- Strong foundation in multi-view geometry, camera models, and differentiable rendering.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, along with C++ and/or CUDA.
- Ability to turn research ideas into robust, production-quality software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity.
- Preferred experience with feed-forward or generalizable Gaussian Splatting and reconstruction models.
- Preferred background in computer vision, including SfM, SLAM, or photogrammetry, and/or computer graphics, including rendering, rasterization, or ray tracing.
- Preferred track record of shipping ML products with defined evaluation metrics and benchmarks.
- Preferred experience in autonomous driving or robotics and multi-sensor data such as camera, LiDAR, and radar.
- Peer-reviewed research at conferences such as CVPR, ICCV/ECCV, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, ICRA, or IROS is a plus.
- A master’s degree or PhD in computer science, physics, robotics, or a related field is a plus.
