Base Salary
$84k - $115k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software applications for space systems and technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable code that follows development standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand requirements and complete assigned tasks.
- Use Git to manage code changes and work collaboratively with team members.
- Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot software-related issues.
- Document software designs, configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with software development and space technology advancements.
- Assist in identifying development workflow inefficiencies under guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Typically 0–2+ years of experience.
- Basic understanding of programming languages and software development principles.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Preferred exposure to DevOps or DevSecOps practices through coursework or projects.
- Preferred basic proficiency with Python or Bash.
- Preferred familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Docker, Linux, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Coursework or project experience with C/C++ build tools such as CMake or Conan is a plus.
- Foundational understanding of security and software development best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
