Base Salary
$193k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative solutions for large language model training across clusters of nodes.
- Build and maintain a performant, resilient, fully managed service for large-scale foundation-model training.
- Optimize distributed training by profiling bottlenecks and improving compute, network performance, and compute/communication overlap.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain distributed machine learning systems and large-scale software solutions.
- Own complete system components and serve as technical lead for complex projects.
- Define technical specifications, drive system architecture, and establish engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with ML scientists, customers, internal engineering teams, technology companies, and open-source communities.
- Hire, mentor, and coach junior development engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.
- Experience with multi-threaded asynchronous C++ or Go development.
- Experience with Kubernetes resource orchesators, high-performance computing, scalable systems, and large language model training.
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
