Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement autonomous systems for ground, air, and maritime defense platforms, including navigation, perception, and decision-making algorithms.
  • Design, integrate, optimize, and test robotics, AI/ML, sensor fusion, and autonomous vehicle software.
  • Develop sensor fusion architectures using LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, IMUs, and other onboard sensors.
  • Create verification and validation plans, support system certification, and conduct modeling, simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, field, and autonomy testing.
  • Apply computer vision, path planning, and control algorithms in contested, off-road, and GPS-denied environments.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers on platform integration and advise on scalability, cloud integration, and continuous deployment.
  • Mentor engineers, review code, support design reviews and risk assessments, and prepare technical documentation, briefings, and reports for government stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD standards, cybersecurity requirements, and safety-critical system guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5–7 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS 25% annually.
  • Experience or capability in autonomous systems, robotics, AI/ML, sensor fusion, computer vision, path planning, control algorithms, modeling and simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
