Responsibilities
- Architect and scale the core systems powering Sentry’s billing infrastructure.
- Build the next generation of the usage tracking pipeline for hundreds of billions of daily events.
- Design flexible pricing primitives for per-event usage billing and complex enterprise contracts.
- Contribute to technical decisions involving delayed events, retroactive pricing changes, and distributed count reconciliation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, BizOps, marketing, sales, and leadership.
Requirements
- Experience building or significantly improving systems with high-stakes accuracy requirements.
- Experience mentoring engineers through ambiguous, high-stakes projects.
- Experience operating services where reliability includes uptime and financial correctness.
