Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle for the MEMX trading platform.
- Develop low-latency, high-throughput, event-sourcing applications.
- Resolve production software issues and support MEMX trading system software.
- Provide primary support during US evening hours for Equities and Options platforms and Market Tech customers.
- Work the US evening shift from 10 PM to 6 AM EST.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
- At least 6 years of real-time server-side Java software development experience.
- Experience developing US Equities, Options, or Futures systems.
- Experience developing and supporting low-latency, high-volume, high-throughput Linux production systems.
- Experience developing low-latency trading systems.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and cover different systems.
- Strong professional, interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Broad systems thinking and the ability to succeed as a self-starter in a dynamic, remote-first environment.
- Preferred experience with clearing and settlement or back-office processes, event-sourcing design patterns, time-series databases such as Deephaven, TCP/IP and UDP networking, FIX messaging, Git, Gradle, JUnit, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Wireshark.
