Responsibilities
- Serve as the functional lead with ownership of team code, design, system quality, and project delivery.
- Solve complex technical challenges and build scalable systems and platforms for Viewer Experience.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and optimization opportunities.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, propose solutions, and evaluate technical trade-offs.
- Collaborate with product managers to break down large projects and prioritize work.
- Build content discovery and user experience platforms across mobile, web, and living room devices.
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability across multiple platforms.
- Mentor and guide other developers and collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 7–10 years of software development experience.
- Strong coding and system design skills in Java or Golang.
- Experience building high-scale distributed, domain-driven microservices.
- Proficiency with MySQL, Cassandra, Redis, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with AWS services such as SQS, DynamoDB, EKS, and Aurora is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
