Responsibilities
- Learn and understand the assigned codebase using project documentation.
- Design, develop, document, and test software under the supervision of experienced engineers.
- Collaborate in a multi-developer team and pair program with experienced developers.
- Work across applications, servers, databases, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to embedded software solutions involving low-level communication layers, register control, FPGA components, and hardware interfaces.
- Research and use emerging technologies while contributing improvement ideas in a transnational organisation.
Requirements
- Remain an undergraduate for the entire 12-month placement and provide a graduation date with the application.
- Study toward a degree in Software Engineering.
- Have some software engineering or coding experience.
- Demonstrate curiosity and interest in space.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
- Submit a CV and cover letter explaining motivation and suitability.
- Pass a BPSS check and potentially obtain UK SC-level Security Clearance or meet Export Control requirements depending on the role.
