Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for backend services, including planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Run applications in production by responding to alerts and improving alert coverage.
- Own KPIs, metrics, and dashboards for services and partner integrations.
- Support onboarding for new carriers and partners and answer questions about system behavior.
- Coordinate clearly between engineering, business teams, carriers, and external partners.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity, documentation, and internal tooling.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of professional work experience.
- Familiarity with HTTP and networking fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of Docker.
- Strong communication skills for translating between technical, business, internal, and external perspectives.
- A collaborative, ownership-oriented approach to cross-team work.
- Strong proficiency with AI tools and judgment about where they are useful.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS or another cloud platform, Kubernetes, Prometheus or similar monitoring and observability tools, and DevOps or SRE experience.
