Base Salary

$300k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead applied machine learning initiatives end to end, including data preparation, modeling, experimentation, deployment, monitoring, retraining, rollback, and continuous optimization.
  • Deploy and operate scalable batch or real-time ML solutions with evaluation, observability, versioning, monitoring, and robust MLOps workflows.
  • Design and analyze A/B tests, holdouts, and validation frameworks to measure incremental customer and business outcomes.
  • Build propensity, response, uplift, recommendation, ranking, contextual bandit, segmentation, optimization, and customer-value models.
  • Partner with ML infrastructure, data engineering, backend engineering, product, analytics, and business teams to integrate models into reliable production systems.
  • Create agentic tools, automation, and reusable modules that improve the speed, quality, and consistency of model development and MLOps delivery.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of professional experience in applied machine learning, data science, ML engineering, applied statistics, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated impact.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, with hands-on experience using common machine learning frameworks and large-scale data platforms such as BigQuery or Spark.
  • Experience building and evaluating models with large-scale behavioral, transactional, product, marketing, or customer data.
  • Experience designing experiments, defining success metrics, measuring incrementality, interpreting results, and applying findings to product or business decisions.
  • Experience deploying and operating production ML systems, including inference pipelines, monitoring, observability, retraining, and cloud-based MLOps workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of supervised learning, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, evaluation, performance diagnosis, A/B testing, holdout design, causal measurement, statistical significance, and business-impact analysis.
  • Experience with personalization, recommendation, ranking, uplift modeling, causal inference, contextual bandits, pricing, optimization, or lifecycle decisioning is preferred.
  • A technical degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is helpful but not required; equivalent practical experience is valued.
  • A Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field is a plus but not required.
