Base Salary
$135k - $154k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and improve networking-related infrastructure and software across Axon systems.
- Advance Axon’s adoption of Istio service mesh applications.
- Build and operate cloud-native systems while managing vulnerabilities and regulatory requirements such as FedRAMP.
- Advise software engineers on networking through design reviews, questions, and pair programming.
- Automate cloud-platform maintenance, including TLS certificate management, while maintaining 4x9s availability.
Requirements
- Be able to gain CJIS clearance for full US production access.
- Have strong experience with globally distributed, 24/7, high-volume systems.
- Demonstrate experience with networking topics such as service mesh applications, rate limiting, and public and private ingress and egress.
- Be able to debug cloud-native distributed systems effectively.
- Have familiarity with GitOps software delivery.
- Have experience designing and delivering infrastructure-as-code on public cloud; Azure experience is used at Axon, but other cloud experience is acceptable.
- Have experience operating components or services in Kubernetes clusters at scale.
- Have experience with one or more of Python, Golang, Scala, or Java.
- Support software engineers with varying levels of networking knowledge.
