Base Salary
$135k - $154k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work on a mixed infrastructure/software team focused on networking aspects of Axon systems.
- Assist in the development of Istio service mesh applications.
- Advance new features while managing existing system components under regulatory regimes.
- Advise software engineers on networking topics through design reviews and pair programming.
- Automate routine maintenance of the cloud platform to ensure minimal downtime.
Requirements
- Able to gain CJIS clearance for full US production access.
- Strong experience with globally diverse 24/7 high volume systems.
- Demonstrated experience in networking topics, including service mesh applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for debugging cloud native distributed systems.
- Familiarity with the GitOps approach to software delivery.
- Experience in infrastructure-as-code on public cloud platforms.
- Experience operating components or services in Kubernetes clusters at scale.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages used at Axon, such as Python, Golang, or Scala/Java.
- Empathy to support software engineers with varying levels of networking awareness.
