Responsibilities
- Contribute to live security engineering initiatives and solutions.
- Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of security controls.
- Identify, investigate, and remediate security vulnerabilities and risks.
- Contribute to security automation and scripting.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and potential threats.
- Support cloud, application, infrastructure, or network security initiatives.
- Assist with security testing, vulnerability assessments, and technical investigations.
- Collaborate with security engineers, software engineers, architects, and other technology teams.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, team meetings, and agile ceremonies.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support continuous improvements to security processes and solutions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, with graduation expected in summer 2028.
- Available full-time for a six-month internship beginning in February 2027.
- Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
- Foundation in computer science, networking, operating systems, or cybersecurity concepts.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Interest in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security, application security, or related areas.
- Interest in problem solving, troubleshooting, and investigating technical issues.
- Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
