Base Salary

$124k - $171k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain new and legacy code for embedded medical devices, MDDS systems, and native phone apps.
  • Integrate cybersecurity into embedded real-time software for electro-mechanical devices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Perform code reviews, vulnerability mitigation, threat analysis, and secure coding.
  • Create technical specifications, assist with project plans, and meet aligned development schedules.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support product compliance and development effectiveness.
  • Mentor engineers and provide cybersecurity assistance to Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.
  • Generate and execute test procedures to verify product performance against requirements.
  • Manage product documentation through Change Order and Release processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher plus at least eight years of combined industry experience in embedded software development and/or regulated product design, or a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of such experience.
  • Experience in a regulated design environment, including medical-device development or FDA- or ISO-registered work.
  • Hands-on embedded systems experience with C or C++.
  • Embedded cybersecurity experience with areas such as cryptography, PKI, secure boot, firmware security, or threat modeling.
  • Experience developing and debugging ARM-based processors, including Cortex M0, M4, or A-series processors.
  • Experience with USB, UART, I2C, and SPI interfaces.
  • Experience with RTOS platforms such as VxWorks, ThreadX, or FreeRTOS and/or embedded Linux design and architecture.
  • Preferred experience includes GUI development, wireless communications or location services, and high-level programming languages.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the employment country without visa sponsorship.
