Responsibilities

Design onboard motion planning with obstacle avoidance, replanning, and perception-aware planning.
Generate dynamically feasible trajectories and references within airframe and actuator limits.
Design guidance laws that steer and hold the aircraft along planned references.
Own interfaces with navigation and perception inputs, including latency, rate, and dropout handling.
Implement mode and failsafe logic for cruise, loiter, approach, and lost-link scenarios.
Verify systems through simulation, SITL, HITL, and Monte Carlo campaigns, then iterate using flight-test logs.
Mentor junior engineers depending on seniority.

Strong academic record with a degree in aerospace, robotics, GNC, or a related STEM field.
Proven experience with onboard motion planning, trajectory generation, tracking, and guidance laws on flying platforms.
Hands-on experience closing a control loop on perception outputs while handling latency and dropout.
Familiarity with learning-based planning or guidance and simulation-based training.
Pragmatic systems thinking, disciplined simulation and validation practices, and clear technical communication.
Experience with vision-based or perception-coupled guidance is a bonus.
