Base Salary
$95k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ELT pipelines in dbt and Snowflake, orchestrated with Airflow.
- Write tested SQL and Python for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery.
- Design data models that integrate multiple sources and support downstream use.
- Contribute to testing frameworks, observability, data-quality checks, and CI/CD workflows.
- Monitor pipeline health, investigate issues, propose fixes, and escalate when necessary.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design, on-call rotation, and production support.
- Translate requirements from analysts, product managers, and stakeholders into working data solutions.
- Support AI- and LLM-assisted data-engineering experiments, including query generation, data profiling, documentation, and pipeline debugging.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in data engineering, software engineering, or database development.
- Strong SQL skills, ideally with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Working experience using Python for data processing, automation, or scripting.
- Exposure to Airflow, dbt, or comparable orchestration and transformation frameworks.
- Familiarity with Git and a mainstream CI/CD workflow.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Curiosity about the AI landscape and its impact on data engineering.
- Preferred experience with Tableau or another mainstream BI tool, PowerShell, data governance, lineage, privacy, access control, cloud platforms, Terraform, APIs, or Postgres/RDBMS systems.
