Base Salary
$194k - $292k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development of end-to-end embedded AI software and runtime systems for neural-network orchestration on Qualcomm hardware.
- Design, develop, debug, profile, and optimize ML frameworks, runtime software, model-efficiency tools, compiler technologies, and inference systems.
- Develop and prototype AI/ML and agentic software solutions and translate machine learning research into production-ready and customer-facing technologies.
- Lead machine learning solution design, implementation, training, evaluation, deployment, experimentation, and architecture decisions.
- Improve ML/AI software-stack performance, power efficiency, scalability, and hardware utilization.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and research teams to define technical direction and deliver strategic AI initiatives.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and communicate complex concepts to technical and leadership audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 6+ years, master’s degree plus 5+ years, or PhD plus 4+ years of related hardware, software, systems, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 9 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- At least 5 years of strong programming experience with C/C++ and Python is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience with low-level interactions between operating systems such as Linux, Android, or QNX and hardware is preferred.
- At least 5 years of embedded-system development and optimization experience applied to an ML domain is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience with programming languages suitable for machine learning, such as Python, R, C, or C++ is preferred.
- Knowledge of model onboarding and on-device inference is preferred.
- Familiarity with software performance and power optimization is preferred.
- Experience with the Qualcomm AI Software Stack and SDKs is a plus.
