Responsibilities
- Design and implement the foundational architecture of the Skydio Simulator.
- Improve and extend physics models for vehicle motion and environmental interactions.
- Build high-fidelity simulations of onboard sensors and hardware.
- Run and validate the Skydio autonomy stack in simulation.
- Implement new simulator capabilities for customer workflows and internal testing.
- Profile and optimize simulator performance while enhancing realism.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with C++ and Python.
- Experience building complex systems with a focus on performance and correctness.
- Comfort with time-synchronized systems and real-time execution.
- Ability to navigate a large, evolving codebase with multiple stakeholders.
- Interest in robotics, simulation, or physical systems.
