Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design and build-out of enterprise directory services and identity platform modernization.
- Design, build, and operate large-scale Active Directory environments across multiple domains and geographies.
- Improve reliability, resiliency, security, and operational excellence across identity infrastructure.
- Partner with security, infrastructure, and platform teams to develop IAM capabilities.
- Engineer authentication, directory services, access management, and identity lifecycle solutions.
- Resolve complex directory service, authentication, and integration issues as the highest level of technical escalation.
- Develop automation and tooling to improve scalability and reduce manual operations.
- Evaluate and integrate identity technologies across Active Directory, cloud identity providers, and internally developed solutions.
- Contribute to custom IAM capabilities, services, and user experiences.
- Establish architectural direction and technical standards for enterprise identity platforms.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management, Directory Services, or Infrastructure Security engineering.
- Deep expertise administering, engineering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory and Entra in large enterprise environments.
- Experience designing, migrating, or modernizing complex multi-domain Active Directory environments.
- Strong understanding of LDAP, Kerberos, Group Policy, DNS, authentication protocols, and directory service architecture.
- Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical identity infrastructure at scale.
- Experience building continuous controls around AD, Entra, and IAM platforms.
- Strong scripting or software development skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience automating operational processes and building engineering solutions rather than relying solely on commercial products.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex identity, authentication, and infrastructure reliability challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience leading enterprise-scale Active Directory transformation programs and operating identity services in global, multi-region environments.
- Preferred experience with Entra ID, Azure AD, Okta, cloud and hybrid IAM integrations, identity governance, privileged access management, access lifecycle management, open-source technologies, custom platform development, security architecture, zero trust principles, and modern authentication technologies.
