Base Salary
$130k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze latency requirements and configure, test, and optimize Redline InRush and Redline Execution Gateway software deployments.
- Optimize network topology, software configurations, and production environments to meet latency and performance objectives.
- Build Java, C/C++, and other automation tools for capacity measurement, capacity planning, simulation, and failure analysis.
- Create and run repeatable benchmark and scalability tests for software and network performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
- Develop monitoring, reporting, analytics, alerting, and performance-characterization frameworks for applications and computing systems.
- Maintain production trading networks and applications, including Linux administration, software upgrades, hardware changes, release management, and deployment checkouts.
- Gather customer requirements, customize Redline applications, translate requirements for internal developers, and provide technical troubleshooting and escalation support.
- Create technical runbooks, system documentation, UML diagrams, flowcharts, and high-level software designs.
- Research published hardware, network, and software benchmarks and coordinate with developers to improve Redline deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems.
- Experience programming in C/C++ and Java for automation, simulation, capacity measurement, and performance analysis.
- Experience with network modeling and simulation, latency optimization, scalability testing, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux system administration and low-level operating-system configuration, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS.
- Experience working with VMware and MySQL for performance benchmarking and results storage.
- Ability to support production trading systems, manage software and hardware changes, document technical processes, and communicate with customers and engineering teams.
Benefits
- Salary range is $130k-$200k.
