Base Salary

$122k - $158k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Mercury’s Infrastructure Platform for the engineering organization.
  • Develop secure, observable, maintainable, and AI-friendly infrastructure that supports both engineers and agents.
  • Maintain networking, container orchestration, and AWS enablement for product teams.
  • Deliver infrastructure projects, break down complex initiatives, and define infrastructure strategy through RFCs and technical specifications.
  • Write infrastructure platform code and contribute upstream to cloud-native open-source technologies.
  • Debug Linux and production issues and help product engineers understand service behavior in production.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of low-level operating-system foundations, including Linux, file systems, and containers.
  • Interest in cloud-native open-source technologies and comfort contributing code upstream.
  • At least 2 years of experience creating detailed technical documentation, RFCs, and technical specifications.
  • Preferred: experience operating in regulated environments such as HITRUST or SOC 2.
  • Preferred: at least 2 years of experience working in large Terraform environments with many contributing engineers.
  • Preferred: at least 2 years of experience writing code.

  • Base salary, equity including stock options or RSUs, and benefits are included in Mercury’s total rewards package.
  • The listed base salary range is $122,400–$158,400 USD for US employees and $115,700–$149,700 CAD for Canadian employees; offers vary by experience, expertise, location, and internal pay equity.
