Responsibilities
- Define and execute mobile technology strategy aligned with retail objectives and senior leadership priorities.
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across mobile and backend systems, balancing stability, scalability, security, and cost.
- Provide technical leadership for Android, iOS, and cross-platform mobile development using Kotlin Multiplatform and Server-Driven UI.
- Drive native mobile development with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
- Integrate mobile applications with Spring Boot, Java, microservices, APIs, and core services including SearchNav, ProductGateway, and TypeAhead.
- Lead automated unit and integration testing, secure development practices, mobile delivery, deployment pipelines, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues.
- Provide technical direction, evaluate tradeoffs, and partner with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver and adopt scalable mobile solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
- At least 10 years of experience in software development or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in software engineering competencies such as frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps.
- At least 8 years of experience implementing solutions through development life cycles.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience leading major technology modernization strategies, expert knowledge of microservices and server-side design patterns, high-performance JVM caching experience, and hands-on experience with GenAI APIs, LLM prompt engineering, and code-generation tools or agents.
