Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain test automation for regression, integration, functional, and systems testing.
- Design test scenarios and create detailed test plans for complex features.
- Implement and automate existing test cases.
- Maintain and improve automated test suites and frameworks.
- Analyze test data to shape valuable test scenarios.
- Provide test automation guidance to software developers.
- Research and implement relevant testing tools and practices.
- Author bug reports and write and maintain test documentation.
- Determine what testing should be automated and how to automate it.
- Set up and execute tests in continuous integration environments.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of programmatically implementing test automation using languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with testing tools such as FitNesse, SoapUI, JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, Sauce Labs, or Cucumber.
- Experience setting up and executing tests in a continuous integration environment, such as Jenkins or CruiseControl.
- Ability to use browser development tools and understand HTTP protocols.
- Strong Linux/Unix background.
- Understanding of black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing approaches and when to use them.
- Passion for QA and ability to identify tests that break code.
- Ability to manage multiple challenges and prioritize tasks.
- Innovative and creative approach with attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, listening, and negotiating skills.
