Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, test, and evaluate embedded software and computing systems.
- Develop C/C++ software using existing tools and support requirements, test, systems architecture, software architecture, and design activities.
- Evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design.
- Use Python-based test frameworks, test automation, and software coverage tools.
- Support mission systems integration architecture and customer deployments.
- Work on complex mission computing systems involving memory systems and displays.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering disciplines and support customer-site travel when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience, or 4 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes embedded development, software-hardware integration and testing, design and architecture reviews, and C++ systems development.
- Preferred knowledge includes APIs, board support packages, drivers, OpenGL, health and status systems, distributed systems, software and computer architecture, avionics lifecycle execution, embedded security, encryption, and DO-178B or later standards.
- Preferred working knowledge includes Bash, Python, Intel x86, ARM, FPGA, SoC, GPP, GPU, embedded system design, release engineering, change and configuration management, debug and trace analysis, and real-time operating systems.
- Preferred experience includes VxWorks, LynxOS, Integrity, SELinux, software integration, verification and validation, network storage, Gigabit Ethernet, InfiniBand, and authentication schemes ranging from RADIUS to LDAP.
