Responsibilities
- Create and maintain automated end-to-end and integration tests independently.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure their smooth operation.
- Write moderately complex code to mock services for testing activities.
- Diagnose defect root causes and help engineers resolve them on time.
- Assist with automating non-functional tests, including performance, security, and reliability testing.
- Own testing activities and collaborate with stakeholders on acceptance criteria, manual testing, and automation.
- Contribute to team meetings, planning, demos, retrospectives, and delivery communication.
- Coach junior team members on testing, the product domain, and product functions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in test automation and a strong understanding of automation frameworks and best practices.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress, or similar alternatives.
- Experience writing code-based tests using C# or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Ability to create and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving test failures.
- Understanding of non-functional testing, including performance, security, and reliability; chaos testing experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with test observability using logs, traces, and metrics.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and its impact on testing strategy is preferred.
- Experience with API testing, event-driven testing, contract testing, and service mocking.
