Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and review complex Python applications and services with high performance, security, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop backend services, REST APIs, automation components, data processing pipelines, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions.
- Support Banking and Capital Markets workflows including trade capture, trade processing, risk analytics, reporting, pricing, and cross-asset solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, testers, data engineers, client stakeholders, and financial-domain users.
- Work with messaging systems, distributed systems, integration patterns, deployment tools, container platforms, and cloud-ready engineering practices.
- Participate across the application development lifecycle, recommend engineering standards, identify risks, and propose improvements.
- Review team members’ work and contribute to internal and external technical communities, events, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Python development.
- Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets experience is highly desirable, including familiarity with trade capture, trade processing, risk analytics, reporting, pricing, or trading workflows.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented, functional, and asynchronous programming, design patterns, clean code, and enterprise application architecture.
- Proficiency with Python and related frameworks or libraries such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, or PySpark.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, or Cassandra, including complex SQL query development.
- Experience building REST APIs, backend services, data processing components, automation tools, or reporting solutions.
- Experience with Git, messaging and event-driven systems, microservices, distributed systems, integration patterns, and data-intensive applications.
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment tools, and container platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, teamwork, and stakeholder-collaboration skills; advanced English is mandatory.
- Preferred qualifications include Capital Markets technology consulting, financial services delivery, quantitative or risk analytics, data engineering, dashboarding, reporting, and experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or Gen-AI tools.
