Base Salary
$97k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements, development, testing, documentation, peer reviews, and defect resolution.
- Design, develop, and maintain space command-and-control systems software as a Java full-stack engineer.
- Develop and assess software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design.
- Create software test procedures and conduct software performance and quality improvements.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to employees within the job area.
- Communicate with internal teams, external parties, and stakeholders across business functions.
- Manage large projects or processes that extend beyond the immediate job area when assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least four years of relevant experience, a graduate degree in either field with at least two years of related experience, or eight years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active US Secret security clearance and ability to obtain a US TS/SCI security clearance.
- Ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 60 days.
- Experience with Java full-stack software development and the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, cloud-native technologies, containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and software deployment through a CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, GitLab, Apache NiFi, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing software in C, C++, or Python; relational database experience; and knowledge of asynchronous programming.
- Understanding of SDA mission data sets and strong written and verbal communication skills.
