- Architect a modular ML framework that scales from specialized models to unified foundation-model architectures and hundreds of semantic categories.
- Define the multi-year roadmap for signal quality, coverage, and reliability for high-fidelity simulation ground truth.
- Lead optimization of perception-model inference and compute efficiency across petabyte-scale datasets.
- Translate simulation requirements from application owners into technical requirements and expand adoption of the Oracle platform.
- Serve as the senior technical authority and mentor for ML perception engineers while driving technical execution on mission-critical initiatives.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field, with a PhD preferred.
- Proven senior technical leadership in setting technical vision, architecting complex ML systems, and mentoring senior engineers and research scientists.
- Experience aligning diverse stakeholders and requirements into a unified technical roadmap.
- Hands-on ability to technically lead individual contributors, including deep knowledge of codebases, evaluation and data pipelines, and model architectures.
- Deep understanding of foundation models, including VLMs or MMLMs, and computer vision or perception architectures such as Transformers, 3D detection, and scene reconstruction.
- Experience with post-training, fine-tuning, or inference-time scaling for ML models.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, NumPy, and PyTorch or JAX.
- Preferred qualifications include distributed systems or petabyte-scale data-pipeline experience, 2D and 3D object detection, camera and LiDAR sensor fusion, tracking, autonomous vehicle perception, offboard ground-truth generation, C++, production-grade ML deployment, and publications at CVPR, ICRA, or NeurIPS or major open-source leadership.
