Responsibilities
- Author, deploy, and tune detection rules mapped to MITRE ATT&CK and help implement Detection-as-Code practices.
- Support deployment and management of SIEM, EDR, and NTA tooling across cloud, SaaS, and endpoint environments.
- Establish security log-ingestion pipelines across AWS, GCP, SaaS, and endpoint layers.
- Participate in the incident-response lifecycle for P1/P2 events and support playbook development and MTTD/MTTR improvement.
- Use LLMs for alert summarization, draft detection logic, and SOAR playbook drafting.
- Contribute SOC 2 Type II CC7 monitoring and detection evidence, including log-retention and alert records.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on security engineering experience with exposure to SIEM, incident response, SOAR, or detection engineering.
- Comfort contributing to security infrastructure build-out through tool evaluation, configuration, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and log-source integration.
- Exposure to incident-response workflows and SLA-driven environments using MTTD/MTTR metrics.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 concepts is preferred but not required.
- Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude in daily security workflows.
