Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain performant backend services and APIs for the Landing Platform across multiple brands and surfaces.
- Create low-level designs including API contracts and data models for reusable, extensible platform components.
- Translate business and customer requirements into technical solutions with engineers, product managers, designers, and global stakeholders.
- Own service quality and operational health through automated testing, monitoring, observability, incident participation, and reliability improvements.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and consistent engineering practices.
- Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions responsibly to improve landing experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer building and operating backend services or APIs in production.
- Experience with low-level system design, API design, and data modeling for services supporting multiple features or use cases.
- Proficiency in either Java or Kotlin and associated service-development frameworks, plus unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience owning service or component lifecycles, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and iterative improvement.
- Experience or familiarity with responsible use of AI-powered development tools and ethical AI practices, including privacy, security, validation, and testing.
- Preferred: experience with shared platforms, distributed services, data contracts, storage models, observability, performance tuning, incident response, experimentation, and cloud architecture such as AWS.
