Base Salary

$140k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate scalable, reliable, observable security controls and services.
  • Build capabilities for identity and access management, secrets management, endpoint hardening, network segmentation, detection, and response automation.
  • Partner with product and platform teams to integrate security into architecture and developer workflows.
  • Perform security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for code, designs, and third-party applications.
  • Investigate complex security issues and drive architectural changes that prevent recurrence.
  • Share security engineering practices through RFCs, communities of practice, peer reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
  • Support team growth through design and code reviews and clear feedback.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and security engineering.
  • Understanding of access management, encryption, vulnerability management, AI security, network security, and authentication and authorization.
  • Knowledge of AWS or GCP and cloud security architecture best practices.
  • Experience with software engineering and security practices including CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, SAST, SCA, secure-by-design, and shift-left approaches.
  • Programming skills in at least one language, including Go or Python.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms.
  • Preferred: security, compliance, or DevOps certifications.
  • Preferred: experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Packer, and HashiCorp Vault.
