Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on cloud infrastructure consulting for clients both remotely and on site.
- Design and prepare cloud infrastructure for scalable, highly available, secure Vault implementations, including disaster recovery, backup, redundancy, and capacity planning.
- Deploy and configure Thought Machine Vault products on client, SaaS, and internal cloud infrastructure.
- Advise clients on cloud infrastructure optimization and broader digital transformation in collaboration with Client Architects.
- Support and troubleshoot client, SaaS, and internal infrastructure while deploying appropriate monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Work with product and engineering teams to incorporate client feedback into product and platform improvements.
- Support the Commercial Team and cloud provider partners with infrastructure questions during presales.
- Travel to client sites for up to 25% of working time.
Requirements
- Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Istio, and automation or configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Experience with AWS or GCP.
- Experience with at least two relevant cloud platforms and certification in at least one, such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Experience with enterprise secrets management systems such as HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
- Experience supporting production systems for high-profile, mission-critical environments, ideally at a tier 1 financial institution.
- Experience with hybrid cloud technologies including OpenShift, Google Anthos, AWS EKS Anywhere, or AWS Outposts.
- Strong background in Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience with CockroachDB, AlloyDB, or Aurora.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
