Responsibilities
- Build full-stack applications that integrate data from multiple enterprise sources into reporting, analytics, insights, and decision-support capabilities.
- Develop backend APIs and data-processing applications using Python frameworks and modern engineering practices.
- Create modern web applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Work with relational and analytical databases and enterprise data platforms.
- Design, test, debug, optimize, and maintain scalable, reliable, secure, and observable distributed applications.
- Collaborate with Finance business partners and engineering teams across India, the United States, Europe, and APAC.
- Independently investigate problems, drive ambiguous requirements through technical design and implementation, and deliver solutions with limited supervision.
- Review code and potentially mentor interns or junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering or data application development experience.
- Strong Python programming skills and understanding of object-oriented and functional programming concepts.
- Experience developing production APIs or backend applications with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or comparable Python frameworks.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP fundamentals, API contracts, error handling, authentication, and service integration.
- Experience building modern web applications with React and JavaScript/TypeScript, plus Node.js and related development tooling.
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience with relational or analytical databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SingleStore.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, API design, testing, debugging, and version control.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests and using Git in collaborative code-review workflows.
- Understanding of distributed application reliability, scalability, availability, latency, security, and observability.
- Preferred experience includes Finance, accounting, payments, commerce, enterprise applications, Snowflake, large-scale analytical datasets, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data modeling, data quality, orchestration, Apache Spark/PySpark, Kafka, Cassandra, AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, pytest, caching, asynchronous processing, concurrency, API optimization, distributed-system patterns, and observability.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical teams and business stakeholders.
