Responsibilities
- Provide subject-matter-expert support and respond to client questions about application capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and develop, test, implement, and support enterprise applications.
- Design horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low-latency applications using cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Monitor and control application development phases, including analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support.
- Collaborate with business partners, analysts, users, clients, and technology teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
- Recommend security and operational improvements based on post-implementation analysis.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level programmers and serve as a subject-matter expert to stakeholders and team members.
- Manage multiple projects, meet delivery timelines, assess risks, and support compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in software applications development, systems analysis, and programming, including 2–3 years with Python and Java.
- Strong experience with Java, Python, Spring Framework, Maven, SQL, and major relational database management systems.
- Experience designing enterprise-level, event-driven, scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-latency applications.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure across on-premises and public cloud environments, including OpenShift or AWS.
- Knowledge of full-stack development, React, REST, XML parsing and schemas, JSON, and third-party libraries.
- Experience with Unix/Linux commands and basic scripting knowledge.
- Experience with Git, IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse, JIRA, Maven, LSE, JUnit, and automated testing tools.
- Understanding of application architecture, design standards and frameworks, Agile, Waterfall, and Test Driven Development.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with strong project management, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and changing requirements, operate with limited supervision, and lead projects with minimal direction.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
