Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software developers to deploy, operate, and support systems effectively.
- Automate and streamline operational processes by building and maintaining deployment, monitoring, and operations tools.
- Design, build, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve infrastructure across production, QA, development, and testing environments.
- Maintain building, packaging, deployment, backup, security, and monitoring capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Support cloud, data center, network, database, operating system, and security protocol operations.
- Work independently and potentially assume a team lead role within the workgroup.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science and 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q or DOD Top Secret clearance and obtain SCI clearance, which requires polygraph testing.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD tools and practices in a Linux computing environment.
- Experience with Git source code management.
- Experience developing with Python, C++, and/or Java.
- Experience with automation and configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
- Experience automating manual tasks, improving processes, and troubleshooting development, test, and production environments.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Knowledge of IT operations, best practices, cloud services, network infrastructure, databases, data center operations, and security protocols.
- Experience as a Linux/Unix system administrator is desired.
- Experience with Jenkins and Ansible, troubleshooting C++ and Java applications, and working on Agile Scrum teams is desired.
- Active DOE/DOD clearance with SCI and a recent polygraph test is desired.
