Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate systems in collaboration with software developers.
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, operations, automation, and configuration management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Design, build, maintain, and continuously improve infrastructure and service delivery across cloud, data center, QA, development, and production environments.
- Improve building, packaging, deployment, backup, security, and monitoring processes.
- Support network infrastructure, databases, cloud services, operating systems, and security protocols.
- Work independently and potentially assume a team lead role within the workgroup.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science and seven years of related experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOE Q or DOD Top Secret clearance and obtain SCI clearance, including required polygraph testing.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, Linux computing environments, Git, and automation or configuration management.
- Experience developing with Python, C++, and/or Java and scripting or automating manual tasks.
- Experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or equivalent automation and configuration management tools.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies and with deploying and operating systems alongside software developers.
- Knowledge of IT operations, best practices, cloud services, network infrastructure, databases, data center operations, and Linux/Unix system administration.
- Preferred qualifications include Jenkins and Ansible experience, troubleshooting C++ and Java applications, Agile Scrum team experience, and an active DOE/DOD clearance with SCI and a recent polygraph test.
