Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and document user and business requirements and develop technical specifications.
- Design and optimize data, process, and network architectures for large-scale organizational data processing and visualization.
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, deploy, and maintain cross-platform applications using modern web frameworks and tools.
- Implement caching systems, graph-based data structures, ERP features, performance improvements, upgrades, patches, monitoring, and incident response procedures.
- Collaborate with software engineering, data, product, and information systems teams on complex projects.
- Design secure and compliant systems that protect sensitive organizational data and meet SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 requirements.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in a bachelor's degree or higher program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have experience with data visualization, large-scale or big-data performance optimization, and production software systems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in software design, architecture, data and process modeling, and system interactions.
- Demonstrate use of AI in software development and understanding of context-aware prompt engineering.
- Have experience with JavaScript front-end frameworks, Node.js, Postgres DB, Python, component-based UI development, and design systems.
- Have experience with data visualization frameworks or libraries, large datasets, scalability, distributed systems, cloud environments, back-end integrations, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Understand graph-based data structures and multiple layers of caching systems.

- Hybrid schedule requiring work from the Toronto office three days per week.
- Winter 2027 internship available for 4 or 8 months, beginning January 2027; the 4-month term runs January through April 2027 and the 8-month term runs through August 2027.
