Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for the MongoDB query engine.
- Build performance-automated tests, high-volume workload-generation tools, and internal tooling.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure new query features are testable and covered across happy-path and edge-case scenarios.
- Develop testing strategies involving end-to-end testing, fuzzing, property-based testing, and performance measurement.
- Provide code-review feedback focused on robustness and reliability.
- Improve test efficiency, coverage, correctness, and performance automation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development and/or performance engineering.
- Fluency in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Ability to investigate complex problems in distributed environments and communicate complex concepts clearly in written and spoken English.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Experience developing automated test frameworks is a plus.
- Experience with query-processing engine testing is a strong plus.
- Experience developing performance test plans and monitoring frameworks is a strong plus.
- Background in database query engines or compilers is a strong plus.
