- Build and maintain Integrate’s internal intelligence operating system, including tools, agents, automations, and conventions.
- Organize repositories, documentation, and conventions so AI coding agents can find context and produce reliable output.
- Create internal chatbots, CLI tools, small web applications, workflow automations, and pull-request review systems.
- Evaluate, deploy, and govern AI tooling including IDE agents, evaluations, model gateways, MCP servers, and on-premises systems.
- Design agentic workflows, knowledge bases, retrieval systems, observability, metrics, and security controls for AI-enabled tools.
- Partner with engineering, product, design, and operations to remove bottlenecks, improve workflows, and address code-quality issues.
- Plan future AI-native infrastructure, including on-premises and locally run agents for security-sensitive workflows.
- Occasionally contribute directly to the core application codebase.
Requirements
- Three to five years of engineering experience shipping, maintaining, and handing off production software.
- Deep fluency with AI tooling and agentic systems, including prompt engineering, LLM API integration, agent orchestration, and tool use.
- Experience with frameworks or tools such as Claude Code, LangChain, or similar agent orchestration systems.
- Understanding of agent security risks including prompt injection, excessive permissions, secrets exposure, and unintended data exfiltration.
- Experience integrating MCP servers, REST or GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and internal or third-party tools.
- Ability to design retrieval-augmented knowledge systems involving chunking, embeddings, vector stores, and metadata.
- Ability to define evaluations and metrics, create LLM test sets, and build usage logging and observability.
- Ability to rapidly develop and deploy lightweight full-stack applications and internal tools.
- Working knowledge of cloud deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including containers, serverless functions, IAM, and environment configuration.
- Comfort writing maintainable Python and a typed language, preferably Go or TypeScript.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, secret management, API surface design, and safe internal versus external exposure.
- Strong documentation, communication, stakeholder collaboration, judgment, and comfort with ambiguity.
- US person status is required because the role involves access to ITAR- and EAR-controlled information.
Benefits
- The position is in person at the company’s Ballard office in Seattle.
- The role reports directly to the VP of Product and works closely with engineering, product, and operations.
- Opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a company serving deep-tech organizations building rockets, aircraft, autonomous systems, and related infrastructure.
- Equal opportunity employment is provided.
