Responsibilities
- Work with product owners, architects, developers, testers, and Scrum teams to understand, define, and test requirements in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Create, execute, debug, and maintain automated test scripts using Lua and the internal automation framework.
- Translate functional requirements and user stories into automated test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Execute automated regression suites, analyze failures, and report defects with reproducible steps and supporting evidence.
- Prepare and validate test data and maintain reusable automation libraries, utilities, documentation, and standards.
- Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot test scripts and test environments with development and QA teams.
- Improve test coverage, reliability, execution performance, and QA practices.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Lua or strong scripting fundamentals with willingness to learn Lua quickly.
- Understanding of test cases, defect lifecycle, regression testing, test coverage, and automation concepts such as locators, assertions, waits/retries, data-driven testing, and modular scripting.
- Proficiency in at least one automation-capable programming language, ideally C#, for maintaining and improving custom frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Git and basic branching, commits, and pull requests.
- Basic understanding of Agile/Lean and awareness of SAFe terminology and practices.
- Ability to write clear documentation and communicate test results effectively.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of AI tools and concepts, custom AI agents, and API testing concepts or tools.
