Base Salary
$180k - $440k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement fraud detection and prevention systems that operate at global scale and low latency.
- Develop risk scoring engines, anomaly detection pipelines, and real-time enforcement mechanisms.
- Collaborate with product, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure a secure user experience.
- Monitor and analyze fraud trends, proactively responding to new attack vectors.
- Define engineering standards around observability, reliability, and rapid response in fraud-related systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend or systems engineering experience, with a preference for fraud, risk, or abuse prevention systems.
- Skilled in distributed systems, with experience building resilient, high-throughput systems under real-time constraints.
- Security-conscious with an understanding of threat models and defense-in-depth principles.
- Analytical and pragmatic, valuing simple, high-leverage solutions.
- Builder mentality, excited by zero-to-one problems and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
