Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement foundational cloud infrastructure covering compute, networking, deployment pipelines, and observability.
- Define and execute the multi-year technical roadmap for the AWS-based platform, including ECS/Fargate and containerized Python and Node services.
- Operate and scale Temporal workflows, streaming pipelines, vector search infrastructure, and high-throughput LLM inference paths.
- Build SOC 2-ready infrastructure with multi-tenant isolation, secrets management, least-privilege IAM, audit logging, and encrypted data flows.
- Establish standards for infrastructure-as-code, deployments, incident response, SLOs, and on-call operations.
- Collaborate with product, backend, frontend, founding-team members, and enterprise customers on infrastructure requirements.
- Mentor engineers and promote reliable, observable, and cost-efficient systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years building and scaling mission-critical cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP, including platforms built from the ground up.
- Production expertise with ECS/Fargate, Kubernetes, or equivalent, including networking, autoscaling, zero-downtime deployments, and multi-environment releases.
- Strong command of Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation, plus CI/CD pipeline design and GitOps workflows.
- Experience with Postgres at scale, Redis, and message or workflow systems such as Temporal, SQS, or Kafka.
- Ideally, experience with vector databases or LLM serving infrastructure.
- Practical experience with SOC 2 or similar compliance programs, IAM design, VPC architecture, secrets management, and multi-tenant data isolation.
- Ability to own systems end-to-end, deliver production-ready solutions, and optimize uptime, latency, and cost.
