Responsibilities
- Design, improve, and debug complex, scalable distributed systems.
- Optimize bottlenecks and enhance system-wide performance.
- Keep the tech stack updated with current standards.
- Write extensible, scalable, and test-driven code.
- Participate in technical planning and architectural decision-making.
- Collaborate on designing scalable web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Contribute to code reviews and technical spec reviews.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building highly performant web applications.
- Preferred knowledge of full-stack technologies like Typescript, NodeJS, GraphQL, and Ruby on Rails.
- Experience managing a technical project from design to delivery.
- Strong understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs.
- Experience collaborating with Product & Design teams.
- Familiarity with relational databases and key-value stores.
- Experience with large scale Ruby on Rails / NodeJS projects.
- Basic knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Experience optimizing web application performance.
- Experience with creatives, AdTag, or programmatic advertising is a plus.
