Responsibilities

  • Design, improve, and debug complex, scalable distributed systems.
  • Optimize bottlenecks and enhance system-wide performance.
  • Keep the tech stack updated with current standards.
  • Write extensible, scalable, and test-driven code.
  • Participate in technical planning and architectural decision-making.
  • Collaborate on designing scalable web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Contribute to code reviews and technical spec reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building highly performant web applications.
  • Preferred knowledge of full-stack technologies like Typescript, NodeJS, GraphQL, and Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience managing a technical project from design to delivery.
  • Strong understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs.
  • Experience collaborating with Product & Design teams.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and key-value stores.
  • Experience with large scale Ruby on Rails / NodeJS projects.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
  • Experience optimizing web application performance.
  • Experience with creatives, AdTag, or programmatic advertising is a plus.
