Responsibilities
- Define and implement test designs across multiple software testing levels.
- Create test scenarios, automation scripts, and test data involving external and third-party systems.
- Build, maintain, and shape automated test frameworks and approaches.
- Perform functional, system, API, UI, performance, security, and accessibility testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams on delivery, design, and project planning.
- Lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and support their professional development and wellbeing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in technical practices and digital-service delivery.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of QA processes and broad experience across test levels.
- Hands-on experience using and maintaining automated test frameworks such as Cucumber and JUnit.
- Knowledge of stubbing and mocking frameworks such as WireMock.
- Automation experience with Java, Scala, .NET, or JavaScript.
- Experience with API testing, functional or system testing, and all levels of the test automation pyramid.
- Understanding of non-functional testing, including performance, security, or accessibility testing.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Strong experience with iterative or incremental software delivery and knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous-improvement skills.
- Ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance and meet the stated UK residence requirements.
