Responsibilities
- Test UI, API, back-office workflows, third-party systems, integrations, and end-to-end customer journeys.
- Interpret business, functional, and technical requirements and execute tests across the testing lifecycle.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks using a BDD and automation-first approach.
- Perform manual, exploratory, integration, and API testing, balancing automation with manual coverage.
- Use JIRA and Xray to execute test scripts, record results, and raise defects with clear investigation details.
- Support User Acceptance Testing and releases into Production.
- Develop test tools and extend test frameworks and test environments.
- Support research projects and proof of concepts related to building and testing products.
- Coach and support testers, conduct peer reviews, delegate work, and provide technical and testing guidance.
- Work with Technical Leads, developers, testers, and stakeholders to identify risks and improve testing approaches.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Senior Tester, including delegating work and acting as a first point of contact for other testers.
- Full understanding of the testing lifecycle and testing methodologies.
- Experience creating and designing automated test scripts using BDD methodology.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing automation frameworks.
- Experience performing exploratory testing in an Agile development environment.
- Proven experience testing APIs using integration tools.
- Knowledge of Cypress, Gherkin, Page Object Model, PactumJS, and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of the processes and systems under test, including testing individual components and related processes.
- Understanding of test automation concepts and their practical application.
- Experience with software testing tools such as JIRA and Xray.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, collaboration, confidence in technical discussions, and a proactive approach to risk identification.
