Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and open-source testing tools and frameworks.
- Design, build, and execute automated UI and API test frameworks for complex digital delivery programmes.
- Test cloud-based applications, services, and integrations within AWS environments.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and repeatable software delivery.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, manual, and exploratory testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and delivery teams to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and quality outcomes.
- Improve QA processes, automation frameworks, tooling, and testing standards across projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in test automation engineering with strong hands-on expertise in Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable UI and API automation frameworks using open-source tools.
- Commercial experience or certification with AWS cloud environments and experience testing cloud-native applications, services, and integrations.
- Practical experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery teams and applying TDD, BDD, ATDD, and continuous testing principles.
- Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, exploratory, and API testing methodologies.
- Experience with Agile delivery and ideally with Gherkin and Cucumber.
- Extensive working experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Must be able to obtain high-level security clearance, requiring British passport holding and permanent residence in the UK for the last five years.
