Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and plan Android/modem software tests for IMS, telephony, and NAS requirements.
  • Analyze functional and performance issues involving Android/modem IMS, NAS, and access-stratum protocols.
  • Coordinate carrier launch, regression, certification, and performance testing for Pixel cellular features.
  • Collaborate with telephony, IMS, NAS, access-stratum, Android software, hardware, TPM/TAM, and chipset-vendor teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
  • Develop AI-driven automation for testing, issue triage, productivity, and other engineering workflows.
  • Improve software, hardware systems, engineering processes, automation, product velocity, and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five years of experience with IMS protocols and 3GPP NAS.
  • Five years of experience with LTE or 5G NR.
  • Experience with Android/modem software development, testing, engineering, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is preferred.
  • Experience with programming, scripting, or engineering automation using AI is preferred.
  • Experience with 3GPP LTE/NR Layer 3 NAS protocol standards is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IMS standards, VoLTE, VoNR, and VoWiFi is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
