Base Salary
$152k - $288k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve sensor calibration and egomotion algorithms for ADAS using classical and deep learning methods.
- Evaluate algorithmic and computational performance using real and synthetic data.
- Develop and optimize software architecture and frameworks for internal and external customer requirements.
- Work with camera, lidar, radar, IMU, GPS, odometry, and other sensor modalities.
- Implement efficient production code in C++ using CUDA and GPGPU parallelism.
- Develop unit tests, documentation, quality evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain fleet monitoring tools for calibration performance.
- Perform in-vehicle testing, troubleshooting, data analysis, and drive missions.
- Productize calibration approaches and support calibration feature bring-up on prototype and pilot production vehicles with OEM partners.
- Adopt and improve calibration algorithms across existing and new vehicle variants.
Requirements
- PhD with at least 1 year, MS with at least 3 years, or BS or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- Excellent C++ and Python programming skills.
- Knowledge of fundamental algorithms in robotics, controls, estimation, and 3D computer vision.
- Strong programming and debugging skills for automotive or robotics systems.
- Comfort working with local and remote Linux machines, git, and build systems.
- Strong communication, analytical, design review, and code review skills.
- Preferred experience with data-parallel or CUDA programming, performance analysis, optimization, and benchmarking.
- Preferred background in automotive systems, especially ADAS applications.
- Preferred deep experience with Bazel, Docker, VSCode plugins, code analysis tools, and quality-of-life tools.
- Preferred track record developing calibration algorithms.

- Base salary varies by location, experience, and comparable employee pay; listed ranges are $152,000-$241,500 for Level 3 and $184,000-$287,500 for Level 4.
