Base Salary
$125k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship production Python services, cloud data pipelines, APIs, and web-platform features.
- Own software features end to end, from understanding problems with product, data operations, and customers through production delivery.
- Build APIs and integrations with Esri ArcGIS, Cartegraph, and other government tools.
- Improve system speed, cost efficiency, and reliability as the platform scales.
- Use AI coding tools and help shape the team’s development practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience; senior candidates require 5+ years and a record of leading technical projects.
- Strong Python skills and experience building production backend systems.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD, with AWS preferred.
- Ability to own ambiguous problems end to end and ship iteratively.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical teammates.
- Preferred experience includes geospatial data or tools, Terraform, Go, TypeScript/React, 3D graphics, point clouds, large-scale ELT pipelines, data lakehouses, or early-stage startups.
