Base Salary
$265k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic partner integrations from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, launch, and production operation.
- Design APIs, define system boundaries, resolve cross-company dependencies, and make architectural decisions with partner engineering teams.
- Write substantial production code and own the systems built.
- Build reusable platform primitives for identity, provisioning, inference, model serving, metering, billing, and related capabilities.
- Own technical delivery across Baseten and partner teams, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and architectural tradeoffs.
- Translate ecosystem opportunities into platform investments with Partnerships and Product.
- Improve integration reliability through API contracts, testing, observability, safe rollouts, and failure handling.
- Help define the Partner Engineering function as the team and ecosystem grow.
Requirements
- Experience designing, shipping, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
- A record of leading ambiguous engineering projects across teams while contributing substantial production code.
- Strong judgment in API design, service boundaries, failure handling, and measurable service-level objectives.
- Experience translating customer, partner, or engineering-team requests into defined technical scope and documented decisions.
- Comfort working across application code and cloud infrastructure and debugging behavior across service boundaries.
- Preferred experience with product integrations involving cloud providers, developer platforms, or infrastructure companies.
- Preferred experience with usage metering, marketplace infrastructure, or multi-party commerce systems.
- Preferred experience with model serving or production artificial intelligence infrastructure.
